Get out and explore some spectacular fishing in our region.

Lake Mahinerangi is a hidden lost lake 12 kms long which came about due to the introduction of the Waipori River dam. This remote reservoir is stocked with perch and brown trout making it a favourite fishing spot for more adventurous souls.

Other great fishing spots are the Waitahuna, Tuapeka and Beaumont rivers or Malones, Phoenix and Greys dams.
